Vincent van Goat

The name is Vincent. Vincent van Goat. That's what they call me around here, though sometimes it's Vinnie. I came here with my friend Camille. I'm easy to spot because I have some rather large horns, not to be confused with antlers. Deer folk have antlers, us goats have horns. Know the difference? Antlers shed and horns, most certainly do not. Horns are like an extension of your body, so if they were to break we'd have a pretty major issue on our hands, definitely a trip up to UC Davis for surgery. So, let's not do that! Most of the goat friends here don't actually have any horns, but many have scurs. That's what's left of a horn after it has been removed when a kid (that's a baby goat) is only a few days old. I'm a pretty gentle giant. For the most part, I just love wandering in the open air.

Oh! The other thing about me that people notice are my ears! They are real small for my body, but don't worry, I can still hear! It's actually a mark of the type of goat that I am, a La Mancha. All of us La Manchas have ears like these. I wonder if you've ever seen one of my cousins out somewhere?
